Course Information

  • Course Syllabus and requirements
    • CPR Requirement: All students are required to be certified in CPR. This should be done prior to the start of the EMT course, and must be done no later than the 10th class session. (For those needing certification, a Saturday class is usually offered at NSCC just after the course starts. Notify the EMT instructor of your interest when this is discussed at the first class session.)
NOTE: Certification cards must be issued by the American Heart Association, the American Red Cross or the National Safety Council. Certification must be at the level of Health Care Provider or Professional Rescuer, which includes Adult, Child and Infant techniques, as well as 2 rescuer CPR.  Be sure you take the proper course!
